Musa basjoo
A Japanese banana with striking foliage - large bright green arching leaves. In ideal conditions, fruit may be produced, although unusual in the UK. Best grown in sunny, sheltered positions to prevent the wind from shredding its fragile foliage. Ideal specimen plant for sheltered gardens, containers and cool conservatories.
